Amanda began her musical journey with the St. Cloud (MN) Suzuki School at the age of 3 with a ruler taped onto a Cracker Jack box and a penci.  After graduating to a real violin, she decided she’d rather sit and play cello; she has studied cello since age 5.

In addition to Musical theatre, Amanda has performed as a singer in Choirs, Women’s Ensembles, Chamber Singers, County Fairs and Churches, among others. 

Amanda was awarded a prestigious Music Scholarship to Concordia College in Moorhead, MN where she sat 2nd chair in the Cello Section of the Symphony Orchestra and studied cello and voice.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN in December 1995 with majors in English and Speech Communication Theatre Arts. 

She has played with many Symphony and Chamber Orchestras over the years, most notably the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra, the Minnesota All-State High School Orchestra and the Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra.  She has played The Swan from Saint-Saens’ Carnival of the Animals and Vivaldi’s Concerto in G for 2 Cellos as a soloist. Amanda has played for weddings and events as a solo and ensemble cellist.

Her cello recording includes the TV show SCREEN WARS, for the short film THE QUANTUM REQUIEM for Shirley Films and with the band Smokescreen's album Slightly Confusing to a Stranger (Left).

Amanda has taught Cello for over 20 years and voice/acting for 12 years to students of all levels and ages.
